after 2 mins 20 sec, the distance will be speed × time which is 140 m. to find how many complete rounds we should divide 140 ÷ 40 . so he completes 3 complete round's. and the remainder is the distance covered after 3 complete rounds. which is the displacement of the farmer. answer is 20 m from the initial posOrion.
