After a complete round,

Distance= 4*5=20m

Displacement= 0 as the farmer is reaching initial point

So after 1 min displacement is zero as the farmer is completing 3 rounds in 1 min or 60 s

Answer:

Displacement is  7.07 m

Explanation:

Side of square = 5 m

Perimeter of square = side × 4

⇒ 5 × 4

⇒  20 m

Farmer taken time to move along the boundary of a square field  = 20 sec.

1 min. = 60 sec.

60 sec.+ 10 sec.

70 sec.

V = distance covered / time taken

V = 20 m / 20 sec

1m /s

Time = 70 sec

Displacement =

⇒  (AC)² =  (5)² + (5)²

⇒ (AC)² = 25 + 25

⇒ (AC)² = 50

⇒ AC = √50

⇒ AC = 5√2

⇒ AC  = 7.07 m

Therefore,

Displacement is  7.07 m
