given: side of a sq field = 10m
perimeter= 4*10 = 40m
time taken to cover 40m = 40 sec
2min 20sec= 140sec
distance covered in 140sec = 140*40/40
= 140m
no. of rotation = 140/40
= 3.5 rounds
therefore after 3.5 rounds farmers will be at point C
displacement = AC=root(10^2+10^2)[by pythagorean property
= root (2*10^2)
= 10 root 2
