Time given equals 2mins and 20 seconds which equals 140 seconds. Now if the farmer completes a distance of 40m in 160 seconds he will complete a distance of 1m in 4 seconds and hence 1/4 m in 1 second and thus we will cover a distance of 35 m and hence will be just 5 metres away from the starting point
