a farmer moves along the boundary of a square field of side 10 metre is 40 second what will be the magnitude of displacement of the farmer at the end of 2 minutes 40 seconds short

Let ABCD be the boundary of the field.

Time = 2min 40 sec

= 2×60+40

= 160 sec

In 40 sec farmer takes one trip, therefore in 160 sec the farmer will take 4 trips ( 40+40+40+40)

Therefore he will be at the initial or starting point

Therefore the displacement will be zero
