A farmer moves along the boundary of a square field of side 10m in 40sec. What will be the magnitude of displacement of the farmer at the end of 2min 20 seconds from his initial position?

magnitude of displacement = 5m

2 min and 20 seconds = 140 seconds

140 / 40 = 3.5 sides of the square field, leaving him 0.5 of the length of the side of his square field from his starting point.

0.5 x 10 = 5
