farmer moves (10 m × 4) in 40 seconds.
at the end of 2 minutes 20 seconds.
2 minutes = 120 seconds.
120 seconds + 20 seconds = 140 seconds.
he moves 40 metres in 40 seconds.
then, in 1 seconds he move=40/40 metres.
then in 140 seconds he move=140 m.
40 m = one round.
then, in 140 metres = 140 / 40 rounds.
so in 140 metres he will be moved 3.5 rounds.
as you draw a square of radius 10 m then the 3.5 above will be the hypotenuse or the diagonal of the square.
according to pythagoreon theorem.
so diagonal of a square =√200m
now the diagonal of a square =14.14 metres
displacement a farmer from its initial position to final position will be approximately 14.14 metres.
