In 40s, the farmer covers = 4*10 = 40m
The speed = 40/40 = 1m/s
Time = 2min 20s = 2*60 + 20 = 140s
In 140s, dist covered = 140*1 = 140m
When the farmer moves along the perimeter , distance covered = 3*40 = 120m
Distance left = 140 - 120 = 20m
Therefore after 140s the farmer will be at the opposite vertex of the square from which he has started
Displacement= Length of diagonal = 10√2 = 10*1.414 = 14.14m
The speed = 40/40 = 1m/s
Time = 2min 20s = 2*60 + 20 = 140s
In 140s, dist covered = 140*1 = 140m
When the farmer moves along the perimeter , distance covered = 3*40 = 120m
Distance left = 140 - 120 = 20m
