Answer:

Distance = 2.514 km

Displacement = 0 km

Explanation:

Given:

Radius = 200 m

2 Rounds were completed

To find:

Distance and displacement

Distance:

Distance = 2×circumference of the circle  ( Beacause 2 rounds were covered)

Distance = 2×2 \times \pi \times r

Distance = 4 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 200

Distance = 2514.2857 metres

Distance = 2.514.... kilometres

Displacement:

The displacement would be  0 as 2 rounds were completed and it would bring the farmer to his initial position.

Displacement=0 km

The distance covered is 2.514 kilometres and displacement is 0 kilometres

Given:-

Radius of circular field =200m

To find:-

The distance and displacement in 2 rounds

  • Distance in circle is equal tonthe circumference of that circle

\bigstar{\boxed{\sf{ Circumference\ of \ circle =2\pi r}}}

Now it complete 2rounds

\boxed{\sf{ Distance = 2\times 2 \pi r}}

  • Put the value of radius (r)

\longmapsto\sf Distance = 2\times 2\times \dfrac{22}{7}\times 200\\ \\ \longmapsto\sf Distance = \dfrac{88\times 200}{7}\\ \\ \longmapsto\sf Distance = \cancel{\dfrac{17600}{7}}\\ \\ \longmapsto\sf Distance =2514.28m

  • Now the displacement

  • Here the farmer complete 2 rounds of a circular field.

  • So his initial velocity = Final velocity

● Displacement is defined as the shortest distance between final and initial position of a body

  • It's become zero because he come to his initial point !

\longmapsto\sf Displacement = 0

\bigstar{\boxed{\sf{  Distance =2514.28m}}}

\bigstar{\boxed{\sf{  Displacement =0m}}}
