Answer:

distance= 2×pi×r

= 2×22/7×14

=88m

displacement= 0m as starting point coincided with the ending point.

Answer:

Distance covered by farmer is 88 metres.

Displacement of the farmer is 0 metres.

Explanation:

Given:-

  • Radius of circular field ,r = 14m
  • Number of rounds ,n = 1

To Find:-

  • Distance and displacement

Solution:-

According to the Question

firstly we calculate the distance covered by the farmer in one round . As he moves on circular field so the distance covered is equal to the circumference of the circular path.

  • Distance covered = 2πr

Substitute the value we get

➻ Distance covered = 2×22/7 × 14

➻ Distance covered = 2×22×2

➻ Distance covered = 44×2

➻ Distance covered = 88m

  • Hence, the distance covered is 88 metres.

Since the farmer moves one round of a circular field. So the displacement of the farmer is 0 .

As we know displacement is defined as the shortest path.

  • Hence, displacement of the farmer is 0 m.
