A farmer purchased some hybrid plants for field. He collected the seeds and preserved them for use in the next season. He sowed the seeds carefully in the next season but the seeds did not grow into desired crop. He had to again purchase hybrid plant. (a) What according to you could be the reason for seeds not growing into hybrid crops?(b) How can this situation be avoided?

These seed plants fall into two groups, angiosperms and gymnosperms. Angiosperms are the flowering plants. Their seeds develop inside a female reproductive part of the flower, called the ovary, which usually ripens into a protective FRUIT. Gymnosperms (conifers, Ginkgo, and cycads) do not have flowers or ovaries.
