profit from milling wheat into flour
Farmers who mill their grain usually find milling is more profitable than farming.

This page examines the profits that are possible for an enterprise that adds value to some of the farm's grain.

The value of production is given by the difference in prices.

The price of the wheat is :

100 × 10 = 1000

The price of the milled wheat is :

100 × 12 = 1200

The value of production of the miller is thus :

1200 - 1000 = 200
