land for wheat crops=4/5
land for cereal crops=1/7
total land=1
land available=1-[4/5+1/7]

Answer:

\frac{3}{35} of the land is available for other crops.

Solution:

From the given,

The part of land used for wheat crops is \frac{4}{5}

The part of land used for cereal crop is \frac{1}{7}

So, the land available for other crop is 1-\frac{4}{5}-\frac{1}{7}

L.C.M of (4, 7) is 35

\frac{1 \times 35-4 \times 7-1 \times 5}{35}

=\frac{35-28-5}{35}

=\frac{35-32}{35}

=\frac{3}{35}

The remaining crops are grown in the \frac{3}{35} unused part of the land
