Heya

_________________________

Let the age of son be x and age of father be (30x)

____________________

After 18 years,

Father's age = 30x + 18

Son's age = x + 18
__________________________

According to the given information,

30x + 18 = 3(x + 18)

30x + 18 = 3x + 54

30x-3x = 54-18

27x = 36

x = 36/27

x = 12/9 = 4/3

Age of son is ( \frac{4}{3}) years

 (\frac{4}{3} ) years = ( \frac{4*12}{3}) months

Age of son = 4*4 = 16 months

Age of father =  30 (16)

Age of father = 480 months

Age of father = (  \frac{480}{12})  years

Age of father = 40 years

i hope this will help you

Let father ve y years
And son be x years.
So the equations will be
y=30x
3(x+18)=y
Solving these 2 equations...
We will get x=2 and y=60
This implies that father's present age is 60 years..
Hope it help u
