let the age of his father be z
let his children age be x and y
given, z=2(x+y)----------------------------------------eq 1
after 25 years,
⇒ z+25=(x+25)+(y+25)
⇒ z+25=x+y+50
⇒z=x+y+25---------------------------------------eq 2
equate both the equations
⇒2(x+y)=x+y+25
⇒2x+2y=x+y+25
⇒x+y=25
substitute the value in eq 1
⇒z=2(x+y)
⇒z=2(25)
⇒z=50
∴father age=50years
