Let the age of son be x

Therefore the father’s age will be 3x

And it is given that after 14 years dad’s age will be twice to that of his son

Therefore after 14 years ,there age will be x+14 and 3x+14 , respectively

Now it is given that 2(x+14) = 3x +14

2x + 28 = 3x + 14

28-14 =3x -2x

14 =x

Therefore son’s present age = 14
And his dad’s present age = 14 x 3 = 42
