Let the age of son be x
So,father's age=x+30
10years ago,
Son's age=1/4 x (x+20)=x+20/4 yrs
Father's age =x+20 yrs
A/Q
x+20/4=x-10
x+20=4x-40
x-4x=-40-20
-3x=-60
x=20.
Therefore,son's age=20yrs and father's age=x+30
20+30=50yrs
