A father is 30 years older than his son however he will be only thrice as old as the son after 5 years what is father's present age ?

Hey!!


Let the age of the son be x

father's age =30+x=30+x

30+x=3(x+5)30+x=3(x+5)

30+x+5=3x+1530+x+5=3x+15

35−15=2x35−15=2x

20=2x20=2x

x=10x=10

father's age =30+10=30+10

=40=40

So, the option a) 40 yrs is the correct answer
