a father is 30years older than his son. ln 12years,the man will be three times as old as his son. find there present age. with statement

let father age is y

y = x + 30

y - x = 30. eq1

y + 12 = 3(x +12)

y + 12 = 3x + 36

y = 3x + 24

y - 3x = 24. eq2

Multiply eq1 by 3 and subtract from eq2

-3y + 3x = -90
y -3x = 24

-2y = - 66

y = 33

Put y in eq1

33 - x = 30

-x = 30 - 33 = -3

x = 3

Hence age of son is 3yrs and age of father is 33yrs.
