Answer:

Let the son's age be x

Then according to given data

Father's age y=3x+35−−−−−−(1)

Present age of father =y+10

Present age of son =x+10

After t numbers of years, father be twice his son's age.

y+10+t=2(x+10+t)

On simplifying, t=y−2x−10

By (i)t=35−10=25

After 25 years father will be twice his son's age

Answer:

Son`s age = x = 30 years

father`s age = x+35= 65 years

Explanation:

let the son`s age be x

so father`s age = x+35

After 5 years,

Son`s age = x+5

Father`s age = x+35+5

                    =x+40

Therefore, accoring to question

2(x+5)= x+40

2x+10= x+40

2x - x =40-10

x = 30 years

Therefore,

Son`s age = x = 30 years

father`s age = x+35= 65 years
