Answer:

Answer-45

Step-by-step explanation:

LET THE SON’SAGE BE X

THEN FATHR’S AGE WOULD BE= 4X

AFTER 5 YEARS SONS AGE WILL BE 9X+5) AND FATHER’S AGE WOULD BE (4X+5)

IT IS GIVEN THAT THE FATHER WOULD BE 3 TIMES OF THE AGE OF HIS SON

THEREFORE,(4X+5)= 3(X+5)

SIMPLIFYING WE HAVE 4X-3X= 15–5= 10

HENCE SON’S AGE NOW IS 10YRS FATHERE’S AGE IS 4x X=4*10=40

AFTER 5 YRS SON

S AGE WILL BE 10+5=15 YRS

FATHER’S AGE= 40+5=45 WHICH IS 3 TIMES THE AGE OF HIS SON

Answer:

Let's the son age = x

So his father age will be = 4x

After 5 years

The son age will be 5+x

and father age will be 4x+5

His father age after 5 year is thrice of his son

so 3(5+x) = 4x+5

15+3x = 4x+5

15-5 = 4x-3x

10 = x

put the value of x on 5+x and on 4x+5

so by this we know son's age is 15

and his father age is 45
