Let son’s age be y.
So, Father’s age = 7y.

Father’s age 13 years ago >
Son’s age = y-2
Father’s age = 7y - 2 or 13(y - 2)
                       = 7y -2 or 13y - 26

According to question, equation formed will be-

13y - 26 = 7y - 2
13y - 7y = -2 + 26
6y          = 24
y            = 24/6
y            = 4

Therefore, present age of son => y = 4years.
Present age of father =>7y = 7 x 4 = 28years.
