let son's age be x

therefore father's age= 4times =4x

In 3 years,(in future)

Son's age=x+3

Father's age=4x+3

A.T.Q,

3(x+3)=4x+3

=3x+9=4x+3

=9-3=4x-3x

=6=x or x=6

Therefore,

Son's present age=x=6 years

Father's present age=4x=4×6=24 years

Hope it will be helpful for you
