a father's age in 3 time's the sum of the age's of his 2 children. after 5 year his age will be 2 times of their age's. find the present age of the father.

father's present age=45yrs

let age of child 1 be a

and age of child 2 be b

∴fathers present age is 3(a+b)

now,

father's age after 5 years=3(a+b)+5

age of child 1 after 5 years = a+5

age of child 2after 5 years=b+5

A/Q

3(a+b)+5=2(a+5+b+5)

3a+3b+5=2a+2b+20

a+b=15

∴father's preseny age=3(a+b)

                                      3×15=45 years

sum of children's (x+x=2x)

2x × 2=y_-(1)

after 5 years

2(2x+5)=y+5_-(2)

from 1 & 2

x=5/2 and father present age will be 15 years
