Let the sum of the age of two children be x and y be the age of father

Father age =3* sum of children age

y = 3x (1)

After 5 yrs

Father age = 2* sum of children age

y+5. = 2*(x+5) (2)

Putting the value of y from (1) in (2)

3x+5 = 2x + 10

3x-2x =10-5

x =5

Father age y =3*5

y =15

Hope it helps you
