let father's present age be x years.

ley sum of his two children's ages be = y years

A.T.Q,

x=3y -(1)

after 5 years,

2(x+5)=2(y+5)

By (1)

2(3y+5)=2y+10

6y+10=2y+10

y=0

Hence , your question is wrong
