5 years ago, F = 5×S
After 2 years, (F+7) = 3×(S+7)
as F = 5×S
⇒5S +7 = 3S +21
⇒2S = 14
⇒S = 7 years
So, F = 35 years
present age of father is 35+5 = 40 years
Son = 7+5 = 12
ratio , S:F = 12:40 =3:10
