Answer is 21 : 1 : 9.

Given : Relationship between ages.

To Find : Ratio of father’s father, the father’s son and the father himself.

Solution :  Let father’s age be x, and father’s father age be y.

Then, according to question-

7x = 3y or, y = \frac{7x}{3}

Nine years ago,

according to question-

(x-9) = \frac{1}{3} (y-9)

Replacing the value of y, and simplifying, we get,

3(x-9) = (\frac{7x}{3}) - 9

3 (3x – 27) = 7x – 27

9x – 81 = 7x – 27

2x = 81 – 27 =

2x = 54

x  = 27 years

father’s father’s age = 7x  = 7 × 9 = 63 years

father’s son’s age = 27^{\frac{1}{3} } = 3 years

Ratio of ages (in required sequence) = 63 : 3 : 27

                                                              = 21 : 1 : 9
