Step-by-step explanation:

Let father's present age be x and son's present age be y.

A/c to the question,

Father's age is 25 years more than his son i.e. x = y + 25

After 8 years father's age will be x+8 and son's age will be y + 25+8 i.e. y + 33.

Since ratio of their ages is given of after 8 years.

Therefore, (x + 8)/(y + 33)= 13/8

8(x+8)=13(y+33)

8x + 64= 13y +429

8x -13y = 365

Solving the equation will get you the present ages of the father and the son

Hope this helps.
