Answer:

Let the sum of ages of children be y

Let the father's age be x

x = 3y 1️⃣

x +5 = 2(y +10) [ since there are 2 children 5 will be added twice to the sum of ages)

x = 2y + 20 - 5

x = 2y + 15 2️⃣

1️⃣ = 2️⃣

3y = 2y + 15

y = 15

x = 15 ×3 = 45

So the present age of the father is 45 years
