usually the thermometer fixed points basically are:

Lower point =0°c

Upper point=100°c

so in between there are 100 divisions.

each one division corresponds to 1°c

But in the above mentioned case :

Lower point=5°c

upper point=95°c

so total division=95-5=90

thus, 1 degree= 1 division=100/90

Now let us find the given temperature:

measured temperature 59 °c

=100x59/90

=65.56°c

Hope it is clear.

Answer:

C- 60°C

Explanation:

1 DEGREE IS EQUAL TO 1 DIVISION ON THE SCALE. SO, 95-5= 90 DEGREES.

100 DEGREES MULTIPLIED BY 55, GIVES 5500. SO, 5500 DIVIDED BY 90 GIVES YOU 61.1, WHICH ROUNDS OFF TO 60 DEGREES.
