Answer :-

Given :-

  • Height = 1.4 m
  • Acceleration due to gravity = 1.67 m/s²
  • Initial velocity = 0 ( because it is dropped )

To Find :-

  • Time

Solution :-

Substituting the value in 2nd equation of motion :-

→ s = ut + ½ at²

→ 1.4 = 0 × t + ½ × 1.67 × t²

→ 1.4 = 0.835t²

→ t² = 1.4 / 0.835

→ t ≈ 1.29

Time taken by feather to reach the surface of earth = 1.29 seconds
