It's a matter of semantics. Those are two different questions. "What do you feel about your parents" can encompass everything from whether you like that they gave birth to you to how you feel about they way they dress or who their friends are and on and on. "What feelings do you have towards your parents" asks specifically what your emotional attachment or lack thereof is regarding those people.
