twins are produced when one fertilised egg splits or divides in two parts.
when one zygote splits into two parts its forms identical twins.
when two eggs are fertilised by two sperms it developed non identical twins

Reason for identical twins
when a simgle fertilised egg split into two during early stage of cell division ,each of these split apart and form separate embryos
and develop into two individuals
