Answer:

Let us suppose that Ravi baught “x” mangoes for 294 Rs. So cost price is 294/x per mango

He sold at 140% of cost price

So selling price per mango is 140% of 294/x = 2058/5x

He sold only x - 16 mangoes

So total selling amount is (2058/5x) × (x - 16) = 294 + profit 84 = 378

2058x - 32928 = 1890x

168 x = 32928

x = 196

So Ravi baught 196 mangoes .

Answer:

CP of apple= x and CP of mango= 2x

SP of apple=2x and SP of mango= 6x

Profit on apple= 2x-x=x

Profit on mango= 6x-2x=4x

Let total number of apples=a

and total number of mangoes= m

a=2m
