given =v =  12Km/hr ,  30°W of N

          V = 6.0Km/hr

solution,

V boat - water

12km/hr 30°W of N= 12cos120° i + 12sin 120° j = -6i + 6√3j

Vwater-Shore

6km/hr east = 6i + 0 j

V boat - Shore=

V boat - Water+V water - Shore

= (-6i+6√3j)+6i= 6√3j km/hr

(j = north)

Hence, option (2) is correct.
