A few months ago, there was a wildfire in a forest. Only a few plants and animals survived the fire. Currently, many trees that existed before the fire have started growing again. What type of succession has occurred in this forest?

Secondary succession is one of the two types of the ecological succession of plant life. Contrary to primary succession, secondary succession is a process which is started by an event (e.g. forest fire, harvesting, hurricane, etc.)
