A field has an area of 630m^2. The farmer wants to divide the field into three parts so that he can grow
         vegetables, flowers and garden plants. The area needed to grow garden plants is twice the area needed
         for flowers. The area needed to grow vegetables is equal to the area used for flowers and garden plants
         together. Find the area needed to grow each type

Answer:

area vegetable = x

flower = y

garden = z

z=2y

x=y+z

x= y+2y=3y

substitute the values of x and z in the eqn

x+y+z=630

3y +y +2y =630

6y = 630

y= 105 = fruit

x=3y = 3×105=315= vegetable

z=2y =2×105=210 = garden

x+y+z=630
