Given Length of field = 15m.

Given breadth of field = 12m.

We know that Area of rectangle = length * breadth

                                                      = 15 * 12

                                                      = 180m^2.

Given that length of pit = 18m.

Given that breadth of pit = 2.5m.

Given that height of pit = 2m.

We know that volume = l * b * h

                                      = 18 * 2.5 * 2

                                      = 90m^3.

Area of the base of pit = 18 * 2.5

                                      = 45

Area of the remaining field = 180 - 45

                                              = 135m^2.

Let h be the height of the rise in the level of the field.

h = 90/135

   = 0.666 m

   = 66.66cm.

Hope this helps!

Answer
.................

Length of field = 15m.

breadth of field = 12m.

L = 15 cm

B = 12 cm

Area of rectangle = length * breadth

                                                     therefore

= 15 * 12

                  =
 = 180 \: m \:  {}^{2}

length of pit = 18m.

breadth of pit = 2.5m.

height of pit = 2m.

volume = l * b * h

   l = length
b = breath
h = height                                   = 18 * 2.5 * 2

                                      = 90m ^3

Area of the base of pit = 18 * 2.5

                                      = 45

Area of the remaining field = 180 - 45

                                              = 135m^2.

Let q be the height of the rise in the level of the field.

q = 90
_____. =. 0.666 m
135

 .    = 66.66cm.
