A field is 150 m long and 80 m broad. A tank 40 m long , 20 m broad and 10 m deep is dug in the field and the earth taken out of it , is spread evenly over the field . How much is level of field raised ?

Answer:volume of field=volume of tank

Volume of rectangular tank =l×b×h

=40×20×10

=8000m3

Volume of field=volume of tank

l×b×h=8000

150×80×h=8000

h=8000/1200

h=6.6(approx)

Therefore, the level of field is raised by 6.6m
