Solution :-

Given that

Length of the field (l) = 256 m

Width of the field (b) = 184 m

We know that

Area of a rectangle = lb sq.units

Area of the field

= 256 × 184

= 47104 m²

Width of the path across around inside the field (w) = 5 m

Length of the inner field = l-2w

= 256-2×5

= 256-10

= 246 m

Length of the inner field = 246 m

Breadth of the inner field = b-2w

= 184-2×5

= 184-10

= 174 m

Breadth of the inner field = 174 m

Area of the inner field

= 246×174

= 42804 m²

Now, Area of the path

= Area of outer field - Area of inner field

= 47104 m² - 42804 m²

= 4300 m²

Area of the path = 4300 m²

If the pathway is left then the area of the remaining field

= 47104-4300

= 42804 m²

The cost of laying Korean grass on the field per 1 m² = Rs. 45

The cost of laying grass on the entire field if leaving the pathway

= 42804×45

= Rs. 1926180
