Dimensions of a Field :

Length = 30 m,

Breadth = 15 m;

Dimensions of the path ABCD:

AB = 30 m, BC = 1.4 m !

Dimensions of the path EFGH:

EH = 15 m , EF = 2 m ,

Dimensions of KLMN:

KL = 2 m , ML = 1.4 cm ;

Now,

Area of the path

= Area of ABCD + Area of EFGH - Area of KLMN

= (AB × BC) + ( EH × EF ) - ( KL × ML )

= ( 30 × 1.4 ) + ( 15 × 2 ) - ( 2 × 1.4 )

= 42 + 30 - 2.8

= 72 - 2.8

= 69.2 square metres .

Given Cost of cementing 1 = Rs 70

Cost of cementing the Path = 70 × 69.2

= Rs 4844

Therefore.,

 \red { Cost \:of \: cementing \:the \:path} \green { = Rs \:4844}
