a field is 30m long and 18m wide.A pit 6m long, 4m wide and 3m deep, is dug out from the middle of the field and the earth removed is evenly spread over the remaining area to the field.Find the rise in the level of the remaining part of the field in cms correct to one decimal place

total volume of dug that is come out from the pit = 6×4×3 =72m^3
now ,
the remaining area of the field= (30×18) - (6×4)
= 540 - 24 = 516 m^2
hence the level raised in remaining field = 72/516 = 0.139 m = 13.9 cm
