a field is in the form of a rhombus having it's side 81 m and altitude 25 m. what is the side of a square field which has the same area as that of the rhombus?

Area of rhombus = base x altitude (when all sides are equal)

= 81 x 25= 2025 sq m

Perimeter of rhombus = 4 x 81 = 324 m

Area of square = length x length = 2025 (GIVEN: Area of square = area of rhombus)

Area of square = 2025 sq m

Length of side of square =√2025=45m



Perimeter of square = 4 x 45 = 180

Difference between perimeters of rhombus and perimeter of square = 324 - 180 = 144 m
