a field is in the from of a trpezium .its area is 1586 m2 and the distance between its parallel sides is 26m. if one of the parellel sides is 84m .find the other

let the length of other parallel side be x m
distant between parallel sides 26m
area of trapezium= 1/2×sum of parallel sides x distance between parallel sides
1586= 1/2(84+x)×26
1586×2÷26= 122
x= 122-84= 38
