The area of the field is 297 cm² and the cost of ploughing it at the rate of rupees 50 per m² is 14850 cm².

To find :

Area of the field and cost of ploughing it at the rate of rupees 50 per m².

Given :

Quadrilateral ABCD has a diagonal and two vertices.

Diagonal (d) = 27 m.

Vertices :

h_1 = 12 m\\h_2 = 10 m

Finding area of quadrilateral :

Area of quadrilateral = \frac{1}{2} \times\(d\times(h_1 + h_2 )

                                  = \frac{1}{2} \times27 \times(12+10)

                                  = \frac{1}{2} \times27 \times22

                                  = \frac{1}{2} \times594

                                  = 297.

Area of quadrilateral is 297cm².

Cost of ploughing it at the rate of rupees 50 per m² = 50 × 297 = 14850 cm²

Therefore, the area of the field is 297 cm² and the cost of ploughing it at the rate of rupees 50 per m² is 14850 cm².
