Answer:

First side = 99m

Second side = 20m

According to py.th.

Hyp^2 = Base^2 + Height^2

Hyp^2 = 99^2 + 20 ^2

Hyp ^2 = 9801 + 400

Hyp^2 = 10201

Hyp = √ 10201

Hyp = 101m

The given question is

A field is in the shape of a right-angled triangle.

The two smaller sides of the triangle are 99 m and 20 m in length.

we have to find the length of the hypotenuse of the triangle.

let the first side be the base which is 99 m

let the second side be height which is 20 m

According to the Pythagoras theorem.

 {(hypotenuse)}^{2}  =  {(base)}^{2} + {(height)}^{2}

=(99*99) +(20*20)

= 9801+400

=10201

h=√10201

h=101m

Therefore, the length of the hypotenuse is 101 m.
