Let's take the parallel sides as 'a' = 40m

and 'b' = 83m

Here, Height of the trapezium = h = 38m

So, as we know that area the area of a trapezium = {(a+b)h}÷2

Area of given trapezium = {(40+83)×38}÷2

= (123×38)÷2

= 123×19

= 2337 m²

It is given that rate of cost of ploughing is = ₹10/m²

So,

Total cost of ploughing = 2337×10 = ₹23370
