ANSWER

when ball is coming with a velocity then its mass comes to act.

when ball is coming with a velocity then its mass comes to act.i.e.,momentum.

when ball is coming with a velocity then its mass comes to act.i.e.,momentum.Momentum=mass×velocity

when ball is coming with a velocity then its mass comes to act.i.e.,momentum.Momentum=mass×velocitynow when Fielder catch the ball he actually pulls his hand towards his body to reduce the impact or the force generated by the change in momentum of the ball.If he doesn't pull his hand then there will be a sudden change in momentum and it will import a huge force on the palm or hand and the Fielder may be hurted. So to reduce the impact Fielder slowly slows down the speed of the ball by pulling it towards the body.
