A fielder takes 0.12 second to stop a cricket ball of mass 125 g moving with velocity of 30m/s. Find the magnitude of force (in Newton) imparted by a ball on the hand of fielder.

firstly we find acceleration that is240m/sec sq and then put the mass and acceleration in the formula of force which calculate the force that is equal to 30N

kislay02: Hi, thanks for your answer but it is wrong because time(t) is 0.12 sec and you wrote 125. I thing u is 30m/s because after stop ball is in rest and its final velocity(v) is being zero(0).
